There is still something for everybody in Kalkan, with it’s own stunning beach and beach clubs and within easy reach of beautiful beaches like Patara (rated one of the top 10 beaches in Europe by the Sunday Times), classic sites of antiquity and stunning scenery. Kalkan attracts people back year after year, drawn by the Californian type climate, the genuine friendliness of the locals, the superb food and value for money compared to the euro-zone. Kalkan is in a stunning natural bay looking down on the harbour and old town famous for its huge choice of restaurants many on roof top terraces to enjoy the view and warm evenings in wonderful restored old Otterman and Greek houses.

Islamlar

Islamlar is virtually untouched by tourism and is a green and cool place with abundant crystal-clear running water feeding local trout farms. It was traditionally a summer retreat for local people to escape the high summer humidity of the coastal areas. Many local people still have summer homes here.

Although this is a peaceful and tranquil area for those who enjoy chilling out on holiday without loud disco noise and being hemmed in or overlooked by other properties, it is only 10 minutes by car to Kalkan itself, with its charming old town, harbour and famous for its rooftop restaurants and sophisticated night life.

There are also 9 restaurants in Islamlar and local shops within walking distance from the villa.
